We start out by talking about how fantasy football is growing every week, so much so that AFL footballers like Sam Mitchell are talking openly about their fantasy teams - though none of the players seems to make good fantasy coaches, apart from ex-Docker rookie Joe Krieger who did well in 2005. We mention the Coca-Cola Dream Team page, which FanFooty blog poster Tom Nightingale is contributing to now.
Onto the games, and of course both being Hawk supporters we spend a lot of time discussing just how good Lance Franklin is! After we finish with the Buddy love, we discuss the Geelong game where most Cats players racked up the points, but Paul Chapman couldn’t cash in on his stellar start. Then we go on to talk about round 6 and cover Dean Cox, Justin Koschitzke, Nigel Lappin, Richard Hadley, Brett Deledio, Daniel Kerr, Matt Priddis, Quinten Lynch, Dustin Fletcher, Bryce Gibbs, Marc Murphy, Lance Whitnall, Xavier Clarke, Adam Goodes and Barry Hall.
Moving on to trade talk, Molly was happy with his pickup of Aaron Davey, and both of us were happy that Clinton Young played. M0nty was crying over trading Kosi out for Warren Tredrea. On the chopping block this week is Nathan Bock, who has been shifted to full forward and his numbers are suffering, with others keeping a baleful eye on Jed Adcock.
In EliteDre@mTe@mers league news, big shock revelation: the EDT private forum had a terrible security breach! The boys from the Mount Scopus high school were accused as being the culprits. Skulduggery abounds, and head/s have rolled. In the words of Molly: “Shame, shame shame.”
Back to player analysis, we talk about Nick Riewoldt, and discuss the underappreciated statistic of TOG, or Time On Ground. We also chew over Thomas Murphy’s future, give detailed instructions for using grimlock’s essential FFGenie program, then finish off with a new regular segment called Make Or Break, and our old regular Boys On The Bubble.
And we didn’t talk about Brad Miller at all!
