We’re a bit late this week due to a Windy Hill flu, as m0nty explains. We rip straight into talk of Saints and Port selection, including the chances that Xavier Clarke, Chad Cornes and Travis Boak will play. We discuss some of the round 9 sob stories, including Jonathan Griffin and Beau McDonald. We discuss the situation on the Demons’ half forward line after both Brad Miller and Lynden Dunn were dropped, with Matthew Bate mentioned as one possible beneficiary. The Roos rucks also get a working over, with David Hale and Hamish McIntosh under the microscope. We talk about whether Mark Ricciuto will take the park this week, and what his return means for Crow forwards Nathan Bock, Ian Perrie and Scott Stevens. Looking at the Hawthorn game, we marvel at the game of Stephen Gilham. We also wonder what has happened to Richard Hadley. Both of us thank the stars that Michael Johnson didn’t get suspended since we both picked him up for our own teams this week, and we also talk about how lucky Chris Judd was. On the injury front, m0nty says “I told you so” about Ashley Hansen (not Lachlan!).

Moving away from last week, Molly goes through the ruck article in Tom N’s excellent upgrade analysis series, including discussion on Ivan Maric, John Meesen, Matthew Leuenberger, Jamie Charman, Aaron Sandilands and David Hille. Then comes the ever-popular Boys on the Bubble segment, with Mitch Morton taking out the chocolates this week over Clint Bizzell, and honourable mentions to Chad Fletcher and Troy Selwood. (We also mention a rumour about Lance Franklin being injured.)

We continue the Crack The Ton segment, where we predict whether players will score 100 in the upcoming round. Last week (which Molly won 6-4) only one of the nine players we talked about managed to crack the ton, so we shall see if we’ve started up a new curse or not!
Dean Cox vs Kangaroos: Molly says no, m0nty says no.
James Hird vs Sydney: Molly says no, m0nty says no.
Joel Corey vs St Kilda: Molly says yes, m0nty says no.
Matthew Pavlich vs Collingwood: Molly says yes, m0nty says yes.
Brock McLean vs Adelaide: Molly says no, m0nty says no.
Chad Cornes vs Hawthorn: Molly says yes, m0nty says no.
Adam Goodes vs Essendon: Molly says no, m0nty says yes.
Jordan Lewis vs Port Adelaide: Molly says yes, m0nty says yes.
Scott Lucas vs Sydney: Molly says no, m0nty says no.

We answer a few requests for trade advice from the FanFooty blog, including discussion on Jake King, Xavier Ellis, Mitchell Clark, Darren Glass, Shaun Burgoyne and Mitchell Thorp. Then we chat about the Geelong bench with talk about Tom Harley, Joel Selwood, Tom Hawkins and Travis Varcoe. Finally, we finish up with a bit of general footy talk, including the KB v Finey stoush and the Clarko v Hutchie stand-off.

Hello fellow podcasters. There was no apparent way to contact you through the website, so I thought i’d pop in with a tray of hot fresh muffins and welcome you to the internet. I’m a fellow AFL podcaster and I just want to say that I enjoy your show immensely - particularly when you get into a bit of a stouche.

I just wanted to say that it was very nice of you to wish the ‘bad boys’ over at Shirt Front all the best for their audio podcast. We podcasters have to stick together, so i’m getting in early to wish you all the best as well. I shall be heading over to the their site with another tray of muffins in a second too…

Anyway, i look forward to bumping into you on the internet some time, or feel free to drop me a line at http://www.swansupporter.com.

I look forward to seeing you in a ball up or ruck contest soon!
