We rip straight into talk of round 10, including focus on Brent Stanton, Scott Lucas, Jordan Lewis, Peter Everitt, Barry Hall, Josh Drummond, Mitchell Clark, Daniel Cross, Jarrad Waite, Chad Cornes, Warren Tredrea, Luke Jericho, Ken McGregor, Steve Johnson, Leigh Montagna, Paul Hasleby, Aaron Sandilands, Matthew Bate, Jeff White and Heath Shaw.
Team of the Week is a bit more of a basket case than last week - The Bruce & Sandys is ranked outside the top 50,000. Then we go through a new feature on the FanFooty blog: the FanFooty Fifty.
In the Boys On The Bubble segment we discuss Mark Ricciuto, Raphael Clarke, Rhan Hooper, Chris Schmidt, Jordon Bannister, Tom Williams… and after some discussion m0nty chooses Robert Gray over Justin Westhoff as Bubble Boy of the Week despite Molly’s preference for the bigger player.
We take some time to discuss the difference between aiming for a league win or overall score. Finally, in the Crack the Ton segment we cover:
Dane Swan
Luke Hodge
James McDonald
Daniel Giansiracusa
Luke Ball
Jarrad Waite
Peter Everitt
Cameron Ling
Scott Thompson

Have to say I disagree with Monty on the trading stratergies but thought his opinion interesting. I think they are vastly different.
Attempting to win your league and you can would want 3 or 4 trades left in the finals you want you strongest team available for round 22. You also have time to squeeze a bit more value out of cash cows as it isn’t really important until finals time.
Going for outright I would have thought 1 or 2 enough. Round 22 is no more important than round 1 and you need to be more aggressive playing against 150,000.
I would have though 4 as a minimum and ideally 8 trades for outright victory (more trades avaible and you haven’t been agressive enough) while ideally having 10 for left for your league.
Playing in EDT is a different. You need to be playing for outright victory just to make the finals.
Next week would be interested on your opinion of picking up Bartel now. Given his price is probably going to drop are the extra point he brings as a captain worth picking him up after missing the boat?

good review, will weight to see PA’s line up, but favouring westhoff if named
Just a note, the roo also came of with blurred vision after the front on bump by rooke (who got a 1 week susp. from it)
Bannister’s scores are also impressive as they’ve been on brad Johnson and Chad Cornes
